The Greensboro Youth Chorus is sponsored by The Music Center and City Arts, of The Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department. The Greensboro Youth Chorus principal financial support comes from the City of Greensboro through the Parks and Recreation Department and by the tuition that singers pay to participate. These funds finance costs such as administrative salaries, rent for rehearsal and performance halls, music, and guest artists' fees. The GYC also receives support from The Bel Canto Company and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Tuition, uniform and touring costs are the responsibility of the singer's family. Partial scholarships may be available for tuition. In addition, the Greensboro Youth Chorus offers singers the opportunity to fundraise to supplement the costs of touring.
